The fountain itself works great. They need to include a clean tool of some kind. It takes forever to break down and clean!!!

Pleasantly surprised that is actually worked. We did end up using a small amount of oil to make it flow better and i do not recommend melting it in the fountain as it took over an hour to melt. I didn't like how it looked after it ran for over an hour but it was still functional.

Purchased this fountain for a party we had in December. Suffice to say it was very popular! We went through 6 pounds of chocolate!! You can get really creative with what you choose to dip . The most popular items for us were bananas, cream puffs (got those at Costco) and strawberries of course. Next time I want to try graham crackers and pretzel sticks! Occasionally there would be gaps in the flow of the chocolate "curtain". This was easily remedied by turning off the auger and stirring the chocolate. It was due to air bubbles getting trapped in the auger. Other than that, everything turned out great!**NOTE** You have to start with 4 lbs. of chocolate. So if you are buying the fondue chocolate bags, make sure you buy 2! I recommend the Sephra chocolate (found that at Smart and Final) vs. the Wilton (purchased at Michaels) because the chips are smaller and melt faster. However, if you can only find Wilton, that tastes just as good.

Fun and festive novelty item for special events/parties. The best feature is that it's not as noisy as other fountains and its noise level is down to a dull buzz, instead of like a rusted out freight train blowing through town which was the sound my last chocolate fountain made. There are more parts to assemble yet it's easy enough to figure out, and a nice trade-off given the reduced sound. Delighted with this purchase.
