The best Chocolate Cake ever… yep, we know there are plenty of claims for the best chocolate cake, but behind our cake stands a team of well-educated chefs, avid foodies and a secret ingredient I’m excited to share with you! This decadent chocolate cake is moist, covered with chocolate frosting with a unique twist! Our entire team gave it a thumbs up! All in agreement that it is a superb chocolate cake recipe. We all had to do a taste test, of course, and enjoyed the cake with coffee, tea, or a cold glass of milk. Be we knew as we were noshing on this yummy cake – we had hit the jackpot by adding our Secret Ingredient – Espresso Powder!
We found a great recipe from Martha Stewart for cute Spider Web Cupcakes. in all honesty, this is probably where I cut corners the most – I would use a cake mix for the cup cakes. The idea I think is so cute for Halloween parties is grouping them together and creating the “spider web” a top the cupcakes.
This past Easter we were delighted to have a business associate join us for the holiday. She needed to meet with us and the only time schedules coordinated was over Easter weekend. Asking yourself “What is Schaum Torte?” Well, my Aunt Vi, who was the best cook in our family, called it Schaum Torte. You may know it as “Pavlova” or simply “meringue shells”. At any rate, whatever you call it, it became a family tradition to serve Schaum Torte on Easter and Mother’s Day. For years I’ve tried to make Vi’s recipe with little success.
