Cast iron plates should be seasoned for best performance.
Sephra plates are bespoke to Sephra Waffle Bakers. Plates are considered wear & tear and should be changed as needed, depending on use. We do not recommend the use of release sprays as it will degrade the coating faster, and heavy handed use can cause issues with your baker.
Plate set only, baker not included.
Frequently asked question:
Q: How thin are the waffles made by these plates?
A: They’re thin enough to roll into cones or shape into cookies, although thickness can vary slightly based on your batter recipe.
Q: Do I need a separate cone roller?
A: For best results, yes. We recommend a cone roller or mold to shape the flat waffle sheet into a neat cone.
Q: Can I adjust how crisp the cones are?
A: Absolutely. The adjustable thermostat up to 220°C lets you choose how long you cook the waffles and at what temperature, affecting their crispness.
Q: Does the machine rotate?
A: No. The top plate flips open and closed, making it simple to operate.
Q: How do I clean the plates?
A: Allow the plates to cool, then wipe them gently with a soft cloth or sponge. As they are made of cast iron, season as need.
Q: Is the Sephra Plus, Waffle Baking System safe to use?
A: Absolutely. It holds ETL Electrical, NSF Sanitation, CE, ROHS, and UKCA certifications, meeting stringent safety standards for commercial equipment.
