Get ready for Kick-Off. So much preparation will go into the next 4 weeks for the biggest sports day of the year – The Super Bowl – both on the football field and in the home kitchen. We don’t know who’s going to play, we only know there are 12 teams going to ‘slug it out’ over the next few weeks to take home that coveted Super Bowl ring and the title of “Super Bowl Champions”, the most sought after ‘title’ in the sports world. So, while they’re on the field competing for field position and 1st downs, let’s ‘rustle’ up some tasty Super Bowl snacks for all the fans positioned on our couches ready to chow down!

Start with Fondue

Our first suggestion, (one that will give you years of party fun and the title of “best hostess”) is to get a Home Fondue Fountain. A Sephra, of course. If you don’t have one – what are you waiting for? Every Sephra fondue fountain has a WhisperQuiet Motor and is super easy to clean! Sephra makes the highest quality fondue fountains on the market – and they are extememly affordable.

From Super Bowl Sunday to New Year’s Eve and every occasion in between, a Fondue Fountain will deliver tons of fun and can be used with a wide variety of dipping fondues.

Super Bowl Food - Nacho Cheese FondueSuper Bowl Menu

Super Bowl Sunday, we’ll load our fountain with NACHO CHEESE for tortilla chips. Others might choose BAR-B-QUE SAUCE for little Smokies or tiny meatballs, or even go the WING SAUCE route to slather chicken wings. And that’s just 3 of many choices that folks will enjoy.

A Fondue Fountain Just for You

There are 3 home fondue fountain sizes for your consideration. Each very reasonably priced, so take your pick, knowing your entertainment needs are filled; now it’s just a matter of selecting what fondue to use and what dipping items will compliment that choice.

Visit our Pinterest Board “Super Bowl Food and Fun”. You’ll see many, many cute ideas for decorating your home (even the walk-way to your front door) and table. People really get creative and there are some Super ideas (yes, pun intended) you’ll love.

Nacho Cheese Fondue – Taco Bar

Here are a few ideas of what you can do with NACHO CHEESE, as we think that’s a natural choice for Super Bowl Sunday. We’re going to Costco to buy that BIG can of Nacho Cheese Sauce. Then, let us share some dipping items and ideas we especially like. While you’re still at Costco, grab a big bag of Tortilla chips. They have Salsa and usually prepackaged Guacamole, Sour Cream and tons of shredded cheeses to choose from—we use all of that. You don’t have to, but, hey…it’s Super Bowl!!! I’d also suggest while still at Costco you grab a big box of strawberries… tell ya why, later.

You’ll need to thin the Nacho Cheese sauce to have it flow properly over the fountain tiers. We like to use warm chicken broth but you can use warm water, too. It is a good idea to warm both the broth and the cheese fondue before putting in the fountain. You can do it in the microwave or on the stove. Just keep adding broth ‘til it’s a consistency that will flow easily through the fountain. Start your fountain 30-45 minutes before you’re ready to serve. Check out our Cinco de Mayo post for more in depth info on creating your cheese fondue.

Then we create a “Taco Bar” with, of course, taco shells, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and the above mentioned sour cream, salsa, guacamole and shredded cheese—smothering the tacos in Nacho Cheese sauce. Don’t forget the sliced jalapenos.

Just for fun, last year I made some maple glazed pepper bacon…What? It’s absolutely great dipped in the Nacho cheese sauce and the bacon recipe is on our blog. The bacon is really easy to do, it just takes a little while to make, and has to be watched carefully, but your guests will sooo appreciate your time and patience. You can also dip ‘Little Smokies’ In the Nacho Cheese. They are wonderful; once you get started on the snappy, cheese covered little sausages, you’ll have a hard time stopping… addictive!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries decorated like footballsChocolate Covered Strawberries

Now, for those strawberries, back to the Pinterest Board! Make these adorable, little chocolate covered footballs for dessert. You’ll want to make these the day before and keep them refrigerated overnight. They’re a sweet finish to a perfect buffet of Nacho Cheese, sausage, bacon & tacos. Use Sephra Chocolate Melts to make the strawberries; it’ll set up easily and taste smooth and delicious on those big, juicy berries.

Drinks are up to you. You know what your crowd likes. We hope you’ll give our Super Bowl Menu a try. We don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The Sephra Team says “MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN”!!!
