For an extra delicious version, try serving the chocolate mousse in chocolate dessert cups. Simply pipe the chocolate mousse – or white chocolate mousse into the chocolate dessert cups and garnish with a raspberry and sprig of mint. Better yet - for Christmas parties sprinkle some crushed peppermints on top with the mint sprig. Perfect! Very impressive looking dessert. Delicious and chocolatey!
If you are serving the white chocolate mousse in the dessert cups, there are lots of other creative and tasty toppings and garnishes. Whipped cream is an excellent topping for the dark or white chocolate mousse. And now they have chocolate whipped cream for a blast of whipped cream color!
Other chocolate mousse toppings and garnishes:
Crushed peanut butter pretzels Chocolate shavings Pirouline cookies Crushed oreos Mini chocolate chips Sliced strawberries
You can make this easy chocolate mousse ahead of time. Generally the morning of is the best time, or about 8 - 12 hours before serving. You can actually make 24 hours in advance.
